192.168 01 login and password. Routers and switches. IP address of the network card

15.05.2015 Alexander Pukhovsky

If you are looking for information on the request “http://192.168.1.1 username and password”, then you may have encountered the following situations:

The first situation. In the address bar of the browser (Opera, Firefox, IE, Chrome), you enter http://192.168.1.1 (Figure 1).

A browser window opens (as in Figure 2 or similar) with a proposal to enter your username and password in the corresponding request fields. And you do not know which login and which password on your modem (router, router) or the password that you have does not work.

I will not consider dozens of models of ASUS, TP-Link, D-Link modems, but I will write a universal instruction to solve such a problem. Just read everything and choose the options that suit you.

  1. Most often, the word admin is suitable as a username and password.
  2. Often the username and password are indicated on the back of the modem (see the sticker).
  3. You can also see the password and login for entering the router settings in the instructions that are usually attached to the modem (see the initial paragraphs, which describe how to start working with the device and provide an address - for example, http://192.168.1.1 - to enter the settings) or you can simply download the instructions from the manufacturer's website.
  4. In the case when the router was given to you by the Internet provider, then the necessary data on setting up the modem can be obtained from him. Call your provider and you will be happy :).

If none of the above helped, or, more precisely, you probably found the correct username and password, and you could not enter the router settings, it means:

  1. Or the username and password have been changed in the modem.
  2. Or, a software failure has occurred.

In any case, there is only one option. Find and press (hold for 5-7 seconds) the "RESET" button (most often the "RESET" button is located at the bottom of the router). But it is important to consider the following: after you press the “RESET” button, all the modem settings will be reset and you may need to configure sometimes only WiFi (if you need it), and sometimes Internet settings.

Attention!

If after all these steps you could not enter the modem settings, then your modem is faulty, and you need to either replace it, or reflash, or send it for repair. And no software specialist will be able to configure the modem at home.

Second situation. In the address bar of the browser, type http://192.168.1.1 (Figure 1), and as a result you get a page as in Figure 3. This indicates that there is no connection with the modem. There can be many reasons. How to solve this issue, I will write in detail in the article "http: //192.168 1.1 enter the router".

By the way, I note that when buying a modem, it is better to first ask your Internet provider what device he will recommend. This will greatly facilitate both your life and the life of your Internet provider when you have questions about setting up the Internet.

The more people use broadband Internet access, the more often the question arises - how to access Wi-Fi settings router ?! Many even know that IP is used to enter the router settings. 192.168.1.1 , or less often -. And nevertheless, with access to the web configurator, some incomprehensible stories constantly arise, forcing the user to surf the Internet in search of an answer - how to enter 192.168.1.1 to configure the router. This manual will fully answer all your questions and will help you understand all the basic subtleties associated with accessing the configuration parameters of a wireless router.

What we're going to talk? To begin with, I will conduct a small "educational program" and tell you in brief what these addresses are 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1, why they are needed in the home network, where they must be entered in order to go to the page with the router settings and what to do if it is Can't do it ?!

Most often, such questions are of interest to those who have just connected to the Internet, bought a Wi-Fi router for this and then do not know what to do with all this good! This is how modern network devices work, that before putting it on the network, you need to change the basic configuration parameters to those recommended by the provider to which you are connected. You will have to open the router settings even if the Internet stopped working due to the settings that have flown, or when you need to change the password to WiFi or any other options. Moreover, no matter what router you use - Asus, Zyxel Keenetic, Tp-Link, D-Link, NetGear, Trendnet, Tenda, Linksys or something else - the process of logging into the web interface of the router via the IP address 192.168.1.1 (or any other) is almost the same everywhere and is no different!

IP 192.168.1.1 - what is this address and how to use it

Any modern device for accessing the Internet, be it an ADSL modem, a WiFi router or an xPON optical terminal, is a whole mini-computer! It has its own processor and RAM, and it is controlled by a special operating system. Therefore, you should not be surprised at such an abundance of various settings and functions that modern routers are endowed with. There are usually two networks connected to this mini-computer:

  1. WAN or Wide area network Is an external network that comes with the provider's cable.
  2. LAN or Local Area Network- this is your home network, which will include a computer, laptop, phones, tablets and Smart TV TV.

So 192.168.1.1 is the IP address of the router in local network, using which you can enter its settings. The same IP is the gateway for the home network.

Recently, manufacturers began to assign domain names in the local network to ordinary home Wi-Fi routers along with this. The most striking examples:

Asus - asusrouter.com TP-Link - tpinklogin.net, tplinkwifi.net or tplinkmodem.net Zyxel Keenetic - my.keenetic.net NetGear - routerlogin.net Routers Rostelecom - http: // rt

That is, in the address bar of your web browser, instead of the IP address 192.168.1.1, you must enter a symbolic name and press the "Enter" button.

How to find the IP address of a WiFi router

As I said above, for organizing a home network and access to management, each router has its own local IP address, through which it will be available to all clients. It will also be indicated as a gateway for all gadgets connected to it. How to find the address of the router? It's very simple. We take it in our hands and turn it over. For example, I will show a sticker on the Netis DL4320 modem:

On the back of the case there will be a sticker on which all the basic information about the network device is written - manufacturer, model, serial number... Also, in a separate area, the router's IP address will be registered - 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 or some other. It is this set of numbers that will need to be entered in the address bar of the browser.

If, instead of IP, a symbolic address is registered, then it will already be necessary to enter it. Example - TP-Link TL-MR4320 WiFi router:

By the way, the login and password for entering the router through 192.168.1.1 are written in the same place. Typically this is the username - admin and the password is - admin.

If the device suddenly does not have a sticker, then use the instructions from the manufacturer.

How to enter 192.168.1.1 in router settings

Let's take a step-by-step look at how to properly connect and enter the router settings via 192.168.1.1 for beginners!

Step 1. We start with the fact that first you need to correctly connect your computer or laptop to it, using which we will carry out further configuration of the router:

This is best done using the supplied LAN cable. You can see the connection diagram in the figure. That is, we connect one end of it to the network card of a PC or laptop, and the other end to the LAN port on the router. In general, you can enter 192.168.1.1 via WiFi, but for this you either need to know the password from his Wi-Fi, or be able to click on. on the router, and then connect within two minutes.

Once you are connected to a network device, operating system Windows can automatically set the connection status to "Limited" or "No Internet access". Do not be afraid - this is normal. Since the device is not configured, it does not have access to the global web! This does not affect access to the web configurator!

Step 2. We launch the web browser. You can use absolutely any browser, but I would still recommend using either Google chrome or Microsoft Edge... Alternatively, Opera will do. But with Firefox, sometimes there are problems with the layout and operation of interactive elements,

Step 3. In the address bar, where you usually write the site address, type the IP address of the router - http://192.168.1.1(or http://192.168.0.1 depending on what is indicated on the sticker). Press the "Enter" button. If everything is configured correctly and there are no problems, a window with fields for entering a username and password should appear, as in the picture above. Enter your login details to open the web interface. It is usually used to log in to 192.168.1.1 login admin, password admin. Some D-Link models may not be prompted for a password. On Tenda routers, username and password may not be prompted at all!

To set up a router or modem, you need to go to its settings. It's not difficult, you can follow the instructions:, or. Even in the process of entering the settings, you can encounter many problems. One of these popular problems is when the admin password does not fit, or the username is admin when trying to enter the settings at 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1.

In the articles, links to which I gave above, I wrote that in the settings of each router, or modem, you can go to the IP address 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1. You can see the address on the bottom of your router. There should be a sticker on which it is indicated.

To access the web-based interface of the router, you need to specify a username and password. Typically, the default password is admin and the username is admin. But not all manufacturers. And when we specify the admin password on the login page (or other data for your manufacturer) and the same username, then we may not get into the settings. The page will just reload and that's it. Or, we will see a message that the password is incorrect. Well, we will not get access to the settings of the router. If you have any other problem logging into the router settings page, then see this article.

The admin password does not match when entering the router settings

You specify admin and admin, but do not enter the settings. "Invalid password" or "Invalid username" error. Now let's try to fix everything.

Basically, there are three reasons:

  • You, or the wizard who set up the router for you changed the password from admin to something else. Maybe he changed his username too. So they don't fit.
  • Some kind of router malfunction.
  • Enter the wrong password / login, which is used by default.

Solutions:

  • First of all, we clarify what data needs to be specified specifically on your router. To do this, we are looking for information on the device itself. Or, see the manufacturer information in this article.
  • Try to go to the settings from a different browser. In the comments, they shared information, which, for example, through Chrome password admin did not fit, but in the browser Internet Explorer everything worked and the settings were opened.
  • Next, try to remember, maybe you wrote down the password somewhere. Perhaps you still remember him :)
  • Well, the most reliable solution is to reset the router settings. According to the idea, after this procedure, the settings will be available with a standard password and login.

It is not difficult to reset the parameters to factory defaults. Find the button on the body of your router RESET... It can be recessed into the body, in which case, you need to press on it with something sharp.

Also, RESET can be on one button with WPS.

Necessary press the RESET button and hold for 10 seconds maybe longer. The router should reboot. After that, try to go to the control panel. If something does not work out, then on our website there are instructions for resetting the settings for all popular routers.

Standard username and password for different routers

Let's find out what kind of password and login is used by default on your router. As I wrote above, this information can be found on the device itself.

On routers Tp-Link: address - 192.168.1.1 (maybe 192.168.0.1)... Login and password are admin and admin.

On D-Link: address - 192.168.0.1. The username and password are admin and admin. Or, we simply do not fill in the password field. Or admin / admin1.

Devices Zyxel: address 192.168.1.1 (or my.keenetic.net). Login - admin. And the password is 1234. This information is not specified on ZyXEL Keenetic Start. By default, the settings are not protected. The router itself will ask you to set a password.

Routers Linksys: address - 192.168.1.1. Username and password are admin. For some reason, they do not indicate this information on the device itself. Probably because they want Linksys routers to configure using special program included on the disc.

Asus: address - 192.168.1.1. User Name - admin, Password - also admin.

On Tenda: address - 192.168.0.1. Login - admin. Password - leave the field blank.

If you follow the instructions, the settings page should open.

This article will tell you how to correctly implement 192.168.0.1 entry into the settings of the modem (router).

To do this, enter 192.168.0.1 in the browser line and press enter.

If you are not logged in, you must first determine the likely causes of the problem. If the network router is configured for this address, then the computer must have an address distinguished by the last digit, that is 192.168.0.(2-254) ... Otherwise, if the last digits match, there will be a conflict with the network equipment. How do you go to 192.168.0.1 after all?

Probable reasons for the lack of connection to the router at 192.168.0.1

First of all, you should find out the settings network card... This can be done in several ways. Below will be considered two essential for Windows 7 / 8-8.1:

You want to check the involved state. To do this, right-click on the one where the connection was made, select " State"And further -" Intelligence". In the window that opens, see the address PC and IP address of the router.

As mentioned above, the IP address of the computer must be different in the last digit from the IP address of the gateway of the network equipment. Compound IP-gateway installed automatically and preferred CSN192.168.0.1 , Subnet mask255.255.255.0 , IP address 192.168.0.(2-254). For example: 192.168.0.2.
If any numbers do not correspond to the required ones, they can be set manually. Right-click on the network connection, then - " Properties» => « Internet Protocol version 4", Check the box" Use the following IP address»And set the required settings.

192.168.0.1 login to your personal account

In most cases, popular manufacturers of routers and routers in the admin panel personal account set username and password by default admin admin... If the login details have changed and have been forgotten, you can reset the modem settings to the factory settings by pressing the " Reset". It should be borne in mind that other settings will also be reset, so you will need to clone Mac- address and set other data to connect to the provider.

192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 admin admin

Such common modems and Wi-Fi routers, how: TP-Link, Zyxel, Qtech, Asus, NetGear, Huawei, ZTE, D-Link often set the login settings as 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1. You can read the instructions in another article at this link.
