"Why not make inexpensive curved smartphones for the masses?" - thought LG. And they did. The hero of today's story, LG "Spirit" Spirit, is just one of those with a crooked screen.

The curvature, frankly speaking, is small. One and a half to two millimeters of deviation by 13 centimeters in length. I can’t say that this greatly affected the ease of use of the device. Yes, it “fits comfortably in the hand,” etc., but it’s unlikely that this is just a matter of this very bending of the screen.

But in general, in terms of design, they are definitely well done. The device turned out to be elegant and slightly unusual (which is so lacking in almost all modern smartphones). The curvature certainly didn’t make it any worse.

RAM. Applications constantly fall out of memory. I understand that the eighth Asphalt is quite big. But not as much. As soon as you exit it for any reason, it is immediately unloaded from memory. There is no question of interrupting the race and then returning back. There's a Fly Cirrus 1 next to it with the same gigabyte - why isn't this problem there?

Flash memory. Yes, theoretically it is expandable with memory cards. And photographs, as well as music and films, can be stored there. But with programs it’s worse. Theoretically, if you go to the program settings, then for many you will see a “Move to SD card” button. In practice, only parts of programs are transferred, and not all of them. And what’s most disgusting is that game caches are not transferred, which, as a rule, take up 90 percent of the total space. In general, having updated to current versions everything that was on the smartphone, plus installing my usual set of software, I sadly discovered that on GTA San Andreas there is no longer enough space.

Sensors There is a proximity sensor, an accelerometer and even a compass. Surprisingly, there is no light sensor. It’s not that I suffer much from his absence, but it’s a strange fact.

The LG website claims that we have the latest Bluetooth version, up to 4.1. But I don’t know how to check if this is true. And is there any particular difference for you and me?

Budget IPS screen with all the ensuing consequences. There are two serious (i.e. visible to the naked eye) problems.

1) Lack of normal oleophobic coating. Those. The display quickly becomes covered with fingerprints. And you can’t wipe the grease off the screen with a handkerchief.

2) The minimum white brightness is too high.

Otherwise everything is relatively good. The brightness is more or less enough, the resolution is also enough, the slipperiness is good.

A strange feature - in the settings you can set the "night brightness" mode. And then the smartphone will automatically reset the screen brightness to minimum... From midnight to six in the morning. The time interval cannot be set.

Battery

An unpleasant glitch. The last 10-15% of the charge “goes away” incredibly quickly. They just melt before our eyes in a couple of minutes. Obvious battery calibration problem.
