What does “microphony” mean? As a rule, these words hide a phenomenon in which the recorded (transmitted) sound contains unwanted spectrum components. That is, there is a discrepancy between the recorded and reproduced sounds. Let us recall that the ideal recording option involves accurate conversion of air vibrations into a signal. It can even be compared to photography, but not the image, but the sound.

Perhaps the easiest way to narrow your search is to listen carefully to the recording. As a rule, the cause of background noise is a low-quality cable in which the manufacturer decided to skimp on the braid. This is a kind of “shirt” under the outer insulation around the cable, thanks to which interference (read the topic “Electrical Induction”) generates currents not in the cores, but in this layer, from where they flow onto the body and are grounded. Thus, if the microphone is noisy, you should check the cable. However, this, of course, will not give a 100% guarantee of solving the problem, especially if there is a working electrical appliance nearby. Conclusion: we place the cable so that it runs away from the devices and does not lie in a coil on the system unit.
