Connecting a Netis router. Basic setup of Netis WF2780. Resetting the Netis WF2419R router

Netis routers have their own software that allows you to configure your Internet connection. Almost all models have the same firmware and configuration follows approximately the same principle. Next, we will look step by step at what parameters should be set for the correct operation of the routers of this company.

First, I would like to clarify that the entry of some addresses is carried out in accordance with the provider’s agreement. When connecting to the Internet, the company should have provided you with information about what data you need to enter into the router. If such documentation is not available, please contact technical support your provider. Next, follow the instructions from our guide.

Step 1: Login and Basic Settings

Unpack the router, familiarize yourself with the package, and use the instructions to correctly connect it to your computer. Now we will show you how to go into the Netis router settings:

Step 2: Setting up Internet access

Now you should turn to the documentation discussed above. Internet access configuration is carried out in accordance with the data assigned by the provider. You will need to accurately enter them in the lines provided:

Step 3: Wireless Mode

Most router models from Netis support Wi-Fi and allow you to connect to the Internet without using a cable. Certainly, wireless connection it also needs to be configured for it to work correctly. Follow these steps:

You can connect to your point without entering a password using WPS. Press the special button on the router so that the device can connect, or enter the specified code. This is configured as follows:

Sometimes you need to create multiple access points wireless connection from one router. In this case, go to the section "Multi SSID", where specify a point, give it a name and additional data.

Setting up the security of such networks is carried out in exactly the same way as in the instructions above. Select a convenient authentication type and set a password.

Specifying additional options wireless network an ordinary user almost never needs it, however experienced users will be able to configure them in the section "Advanced". There are options for access point isolation, roaming, security, and transmit power.

Step 4: Additional Router Features

The basic configuration of the Netis router has been completed and you can now connect to the Internet. To do this, go to the category "System", select "System restart" and click on the corresponding button that appears on the panel. After the reboot, the configured settings will take effect and network access should appear.

Besides everything, software Netis allows you to configure additional functions. pay attention to "Bandwidth Management"— here the incoming and outgoing speeds on all connected computers are limited. This solution will help to correctly distribute speed between all network participants.

Sometimes the router is installed in a public place or in an office. In this case, filtering by IP addresses may be required. There is a special section in the category for configuring this function "Access control". All that remains is to determine the parameters that suit you and set the PC addresses.

Above, we examined in detail the process of setting up routers from Netis. As you can see, this procedure is easy and does not require additional knowledge or skills from the user. You just need to have documentation from the provider and strictly follow the instructions provided, then you will definitely be able to solve the problem.

The topic of today's article is setting up a Netis router via the login site Personal Area netis.cc. I’ll show you how to connect a computer to Netis and set up a wifi network, as well as how to change the default password and set your own on official firmware. I will show the whole process on the Netis WF2780 router, but in general, the instructions are universal for any model - wf2419e, wf2880, mw5230, wf2180, wf2710, wf2409e and so on.

How to connect the Netis WF2780 WiFi router to the Internet?

In order to log into the personal account of the Netis router, you first need to reset all network configurations on the computer itself. To do this we need to go to settings network connections and make sure that all the checkboxes are in “Automatic” mode (IP address, Subnet mask and DNS servers)

After this, we connect the Netis router to an electrical outlet using the power adapter that came with it. We insert the cable from the Internet provider into the WAN port (on this model it is blue), and the cable with which you connect the router to the computer into the LAN port

Login to your personal account NETIS.CC – 192.168.1.1

To log into the Netis router, launch the browser and go to either the web address http://netis.cc, or by IP of your personal account, which is standard by default (do not confuse it with the address 192.168.L.L - you need to write numbers at the end, not the letters “l”).

If everything was done correctly before, the quick setup page will open - no additional authorization in the admin is required at the initial stage.

How to configure a Netis router through your personal account 192.168.1.1?

Also, the first thing that will be useful is to be able to use the login and password for the web interface that are set by default from the factory. Perhaps someone has already tried to connect a router before you and set their own parameters.

Connecting the Netis router to the Internet

All basic Netis settings are located immediately on home page. First of all, this is the configuration of the Internet and wireless networks. To connect the router to the Internet, you need to select one of the types:

  • Dynamic IP
  • Static IP
  • PPPoE
  • Other

Which one you have, you need to look at the contract for the provision of services with the provider - depending on this, you will need to enter certain data for connection. You also need to find them out from your operator.

You can also activate here. This is done if the provider binds a specific connected computer to your contract. In this situation, to change it, you need to call technical support. To avoid this, check the “MAC Clone” box and it will automatically be copied from the main computer.

Setting up a Netis wifi network

The next block is the wifi settings on the Netis router. The model I presented supports two frequency ranges, so here you can set data for two networks at once. Namely

  • SSID()
  • Security (must be checked ON)
  • Password

Initially, the two networks will work simultaneously, but later they can be activated separately in the Netis advanced settings.

After entering all the parameters, click on the “Save” button, after which two new wifi networks will appear in the field of view of all devices with a wireless module.

How to change the default password and set your own on the Netis router?

Now let's see how to change the password on the wifi router, which was the default for connecting to your wireless network. Go to the administrator section (how to do this is described) and click on the “Advanced” button

If your router is dual-band, that is, it distributes the Internet at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies simultaneously, you need to understand the password for which specific band you want to change. The settings for each of them are located in different subsections of the same name. I will show the example of the most used of them - I open the “2.4 GHz Wireless Mode” section, the “Wi-Fi Settings” section.

Here, in the “Access point security parameters” block, look for the “Password” item - this is where you can register a new key for connection.

To apply the change, click the “Save” button and wait for the router to reboot.

Video on connecting and setting up a netis router

The WAN port must be connected network cable from the provider, connect one of the four LAN ports using a patch cord to network card computer The network adapter must be configured to automatically obtain addresses.

After completing the steps described above, open your web browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press the key Enter. We will immediately get to the quick settings menu. Here you can:

1. Change language

2. Select connection type

3. Clone PC mac address

4. "Quick setup Wi-Fi for each band"

  • Network name
  • Enable/disable network security
  • Set network password

At this point the settings are completed, the router is configured.

If you need to change the factory settings due to some features, go to the advanced settings, namely "Advanced"

In the tab "Status" we see all the information about the current connection

In the tab "Network" are General settings router.

  • "WAN"- you can change the connection type from dynamic to static; in this case, you must enter the details issued by your telecom operator manually. It is necessary if there are interruptions in the operation of services.
  • "LAN"- you can change the IP address of the router subnet, you can completely disable it DHCH -> enable/disable. It is necessary if you want to make a switch out of a router. In this case, the Wi-Fi network works as usual.

  • "IPTV"- leave automatic value.

Let's move on to Wi-Fi settings networks.

Basic settings for the 2.4 GHz frequency range are in the menu "Wireless 2.4G".

Tab "Wireless Settings":

Wireless Status- On/off wireless network

Radio mode- Mode Wi-Fi work network, for normal work leave "access point"

Radio band- operating mode at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, select 802.11b+g+n. If the subscriber has several laptops different generations, then they are most likely connected in different modes, for example G- old standard (up to 54 Mbit/s) and N- new standard (up to 300 Mbit/s). BUT the Wi-Fi standard provides that if 2 PCs with G and N standards are working on the network at the same time, then latest standard N automatically switches to G and the speed noticeably deteriorates. We advise subscribers about this.

SSID- the name of your network. If your router comes with a default SSID (network name), it is extremely important to change it to another unique name consisting of numbers and/or Latin letters. If the SSID is not unique, Wi-Fi devices there will be problems with network identification. This may prevent you from automatically connecting to your network or may prevent you from connecting to other networks with the same SSID.

SSID Broadcast- broadcasting the network, you can make it invisible, is not recommended.

Region- put RU

Channel- this is the choice of a channel at a frequency of 2.4 GHz on which Wi-Fi will operate (the possibilities are limited, only 9 channels). Setting it to AUTO is highly not recommended; the router will constantly search for a free channel, and the Wi-Fi connection is lost for several seconds. To select the optimal channel, we use the inSSIDer program on the PC, very useful program, which will show all the networks in our broadcast area and on what channels they are located. You can download it.

Channel Width- we set it depending on the noise level of the air (at a frequency of 2.4 GHz), if everything is bad, there are a lot of networks around, then we set it to 20 MHz, we don’t disturb ourselves or people. If the conditions are ideal and there are few Wi-Fi networks around, then you can set it to auto or 40 MHz. With the second option, we achieve high throughput (in ideal conditions!!!)... After all the settings, click “save”, the settings are saved.

Authentication Type- WPA/WPA2-PSK - the most new type network protection, leave it.

Password- password for accessing the Wi-Fi network, at least 8 characters.

Click "Save", the settings are saved.

Tab "Wireless Advanced" - Additional settings, in field Transmit Power you can adjust the power of data transmission over a Wi-Fi network, depending on the area of the apartment or office, you can change the power, there is no point in setting it to 100% in a one-room apartment, thereby we begin to interact more with neighboring Wi-Fi networks, which leads to unstable operation and low speed!!! The rest of the settings are set to default, click “Save”, the settings are saved.

In the Wireless network settings at a frequency of 5 GHz, almost everything is done in the same way as in 2.4 GHz, except for a few nuances:

1. "Mode (Radio mode)" at a frequency of 5 GHz it is recommended to choose 802.11a+n+ac. If the subscriber has a laptop with 5GHz support and standard ac(the latest standard, only at 5 GHz), then it will connect at the highest Wi-Fi speeds provided for by the characteristics of the router and PC adapter, in this case up to 1300 Mbit/s;

2. "Channel"- this is the selection of a channel at a frequency of 5 GHz on which Wi-Fi will operate. Setting it to AUTO is highly not recommended; the router will constantly search for a free channel, and the Wi-Fi connection is lost for several seconds. To select the optimal channel, we use the inSSIDer program on the PC, a very useful program that will show all the networks in our broadcast area and on which channels they are located. You can download it. Please note that the program analyzes wi-fi networks at 5 GHz, if the PC has the ability to connect to this frequency.

3. "Channel Width"- since the frequency of 5 GHz is “clean” (compared to 2.4 GHz), then for maximum throughput we set the maximum channel width to 80 MHz, having first checked the “noise level of the airwaves”. After all the settings, click “save”, the settings are saved.

Transmitter power- because the high-frequency signals of 5 GHz networks do not pass through solid objects as well as in the case of using the 2.4 GHz frequency. Thus, the signal transmission range indoors is limited, so we set the maximum value.

The basic setup is complete, go to the tab "System Tools" - "System Restart"- Restart. The reboot will begin, after it, when correct settings, everything should work.

How to set up WiFi router and Netis WF2411 and WF2411e? Let's look in detail at what needs to be done to set up an Internet connection on the Netis router, and also figure out how to set up a wireless WiFi access point. The instructions are suitable for any model of Netis WiFi router WF2411 series.

To begin with, I would like to say a few words about the fact that Netis is an unknown company to most, but it seems to me quite promising. Netis routers are inexpensive and are not starting to compete with big players. I did not find any particular, significant complaints about the quality of Netis routers. In view of the growing demand for WiFi routers Netis WF2411 and WF2411e, I decided to write step by step plan actions for those who purchased them. I also want to note that the interface of the WF2411 and WF2411e routers has a very nice interface, and most importantly, the firmware is completely translated into Russian, which is important for us users.

I’m thinking about how to connect the router to the computer, no one will have any problems, we connect according to the old scheme:

Netis router connection diagram

After connecting, turn on the power and wait a couple of minutes for the router to boot. Next we need to get into the modem settings. After loading, the WiFi network of the Netis router will appear, it will be named by its mask: Netis _XXXXX. Let's connect to it. If for some reason it is password protected, then I recommend trying to enter the factory password, which is indicated on the Netis label.

Internet connection

Open the browser, enter http://192.168.1.1 or http://netis.cc in the address bar, and press the Enter key.

If you encounter problems connecting to the router, please read the setup instructions:

After logging in, we will see the window:

The main parameter here is the type of connection; as a rule, it is indicated in the contract when concluding a service with the provider. Fill in the required parameters. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. After setting up, wait a while for the router to apply the settings and check Internet access.

Wi-Fi setup

For WiFi settings, go to the Network menu, Wi-Fi Settings.

Change the wireless network status to On. Set SSID - This is the name of the WiFi network. We fill out the remaining parameters as indicated in the screenshot, at the end we come up with a password for the password, and click Save. The wireless access point has been configured.
