Cartridges Samsung series 407 series cartridges are similar to 409 series cartridges, refilling instructions are the same. On the gear side of the cartridge, on the left side, unscrew the 2 screws of the side cover.

Carefully remove the side cover using a clock screwdriver. Clean the metal bearings with cotton material.

Remove the side cover on the right side in the same way as removing the left side cover.

Be careful. The screws on the right and left sides are not the same. The screws on the side of the cartridge with gears are shorter.

Remove the side cover. Remember that the large double gear will come off along with the cover.

Remove the four screws from the metal cover on top of the cartridge. This cap also works as a toner alignment blade for the toner roller. Remember that there are two sealing pads on each side, more on the left side than on the right.

Be careful not to damage the working edge of the toner alignment blade. Any damage to the working edge will affect print quality. Lift the blade on the left side so that the right side can come out of the slots.

Remove the green bearing on the right side of the toner roller, take out the roller.

Be careful not to lose the gear on the opposite side of the shaft.

Clean the toner roller with your toner roller cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum the toner container, including the toner screed blade seal pads.

On the right side of the cartridge, carefully open the protective fill cap.

Remove the filler plug using needle-nose pliers.

Vacuum the toner bin with a special vacuum cleaner.

Install the toner roller with the green bearing into place. Then install the shaft axes into the seats.

Install the short screw into the hole in the gear cover.

Install a long screw into the second hole in the gear cover.

On the left side of the cartridge, install a cover with metal bearings; first apply a little conductive lubricant.

Tighten the screw.

Carefully clean the toner alignment blade and install it at an angle into the slot on the right side of the cartridge first, and then lower the left side of the blade down. Make sure the sealing pads are in place and tighten the four screws.

Add 68 grams of toner to the black cartridge and 45 grams of toner to the color cartridges.

Close the toner bottle cap.

Install the protective cover on the toner refill hole.

Install a new ID chip on the cartridge. If possible, you can also reflash the printer to work without a chip.

This printer also replaces the photoconductor assembly.

After 10,000 copies of black and 2,500 copies of color, it is necessary to replace the waste toner bin (not in the picture on the left).

Let's start disassembling the cartridge from the side of the toner hopper cover. A regular Phillips screwdriver Phillips Unscrew the two screws holding the side cover.

Pry off the side cover with a flat-head screwdriver. Remove the cover carefully so as not to miss the small spring under it.

After removing the cover, wipe the contacts with a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

Then remove the side cover. Please note that the large gear must remain inside the side cover.

Remove all the remaining gears, the small washer and a separate large gear.

Then unscrew the remaining screws and remove the inner gear mounting plate:

After this, you can remove the metal plate that plays the role of the dosing blade. The plate is pressed to the body by two side holders. Unscrew the screws with a small Phillips screwdriver ( PH/0/2mm ), simply called "for mobile phones"Remember that the metering blade must be removed very carefully, without bending or deforming its surface in any way. A distorted blade surface will lead to printing defects.

Then remove the green bushings from both sides of the developing roller ( Developer Roller).

And then the shaft itself. Wipe the development roller with a soft, lint-free cloth. Shaft PCR can be treated with a cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

The toner hopper can be removed with thin pliers or narrow pliers. Regular pliers are too thick for this plug.

After removing the plug, we will clean the hopper from the remains of old toner. Felt toner agitator shaft interacting with toner and developing roller ( developer roller ), also need to be cleaned of old toner residues on all sides. Vacuum the entire surface in the area of the metering blade, including the side seals of the metering blade.

Then we will install back the cleaned development shaft, green bushing and gear mounting plate.

We install three gears with a washer in the working position and fix the plate with screws. We will install the large gear separately from the rest - inside the side cover.

Now you can connect the side cover to the body.

Let's complete the assembly of the right side of the case by fixing the screws:

Install a spring inside the side cover with contacts. Let's connect the side cover to the body.

The contact spring installed together with the side cover must be aligned with a hook, hooking its curved edge onto the conductive rod:

The cleaned dosing blade can then be installed. In this case, the edges of the blade should be set under the edges of the seals. To do this, use the flat slot of a screwdriver to straighten the foam rubber seals on both sides:

After the dosing blade is installed, it must be pressed with the holder plates and secured with screws.

Assembly of the Samsung 407 cartridge is complete. Now you can pour a can of toner into the compartment, then tightly close the hopper cap.

1. First you need to unscrew the screws from the side of the contact pad; for this we will use a Phillips screwdriver. Next you need to remove the side cover. We clean the metal bushings located on it with a cloth soaked in alcohol.

2. Let's use a Phillips screwdriver and unscrew the screws on the other side of the cartridge, after which you can remove the cover. Together with the side cover, remove the double gear.

3. You should unscrew the 2 screws that are used to secure the dosing blade. Be careful not to lose the 2 plates located on the sides of the dosing blade. When removing it, you need to be as careful as possible, since even a small scratch or dent on its surface can cause a deterioration in print quality. Now you need to remove the magnetic shaft drive gear. Be careful not to lose the small washer.

4. Then you need to remove the 2 remaining gears. Remove the black plate of the internal mechanism by first unscrewing 2 screws.

5. Next you need to remove the magnetic shaft. Try not to lose the green washers located on its sides. Wipe the shaft itself with a soft, lint-free cloth. Now, using a compressor or vacuum cleaner, remove the remaining toner from the seal.

6. After this, use long-nose pliers to remove the plug that covers the hole for refilling the cartridge, which is located on the side of the contact pad. Try to do this as carefully as possible, as the risk of damaging the cork is very high.

7. You need to shake out the remaining old toner from the hopper and blow it out using a vacuum cleaner or compressor.

8. Now you need to install the plate back, screwing it with screws. The gears should be installed in accordance with the image.

9. Then install the magnetic shaft. When doing this, make sure that the green plastic bushings are inserted correctly. Next, install the side cover with the contact pad.

10. Reinstall the magnetic shaft drive gear and the double gear. Now put the cover in place, securing it with screws.

12. Now the compatible toner must be poured into the hopper through the filling hole. Then the hole needs to be closed with a plug.

13. Replace the chip; to do this, remove the old one, clean the seat with alcohol, apply double-sided tape, and install a new chip. Close the magnetic shaft protective cover in case you do not plan to use the cartridge immediately after refilling.
