Shopping list app for iphone. New apps for iPhone and iPad that pleasantly surprised us. How to delete all reminders at once

Going to the store for shopping turns into a pleasant pastime for some people, but for others it turns into torture, which they usually go to voluntarily and regularly. The difference between the first and second can be not only gender, but also purely practical. Some clearly and clearly state their shopping plan in advance, others run from rack to rack, forgetting to buy one thing or another. I always considered myself to be in the second category of people who do not know how to plan their purchases, which is why I often came home with bags of unnecessary things and without bread. What can I say, I still can’t plan my expenses and income, however, I have managed one thing - a shopping list is now one of the most convenient and familiar things for me. And not because I became more conscious, rather the opposite - I found the easiest way not to forget anything, called "String bag".

What is most important for those who use smartphones as a shopping list? Convenience. This is what I found in String bag. Someone will tell me a lot of existing alternatives from App Store, but you will understand why I chose this option.

String bag allows you to create completely different lists, naming them at least "Groceries Home", though “Don’t forget to put it in your suitcase.”.

The first thing to do is "Add List" by clicking the plus sign. The application will ask you to title it (this is where you can get creative) and save it.

Then everything is even simpler - add products, goods or services. Avoska contains a fairly wide database of products, sorted by department. So for example if you add the position "lightly salted salmon", she automatically gets into the department "Fish and seafood" and is highlighted in blue. Fruits and vegetables are sorted according to the same principle, but they will already be bright green. Ah, raw meat and poultry will turn a dark cherry color. This is very convenient when you move around a huge hypermarket, in which only transitions between departments take several minutes.

But let's get back to adding positions. A large database offers many ready-made options for product names, from which you can choose the one you need, or you can enter your own - String bag it won't be deleted anywhere. The only thing that can happen to an “unidentified” product is to move it to the end of the list and highlight it in the standard gray color.

In addition to the name of the products, you can add the exact quantity (in grams), add your own comment and select the department in which the product is located. The last one in case of some non-standard case mentioned above.

What usually happens in the store? In your hands you have a grocery basket or a cart on wheels, which you have to carry in front of you, and then you have to look at the list and cross off what you bought. WITH Avoskaya This can all be done with one hand.

Swipe right crosses out the selected item and moves it to the end of the list. Swipe left generally removes a line from the list as obviously unnecessary.

But if the user makes a mistake and accidentally crosses out or deletes the desired position, shaking will cancel the last action.

The completed list can be sent by e-mail, send via SMS or print. True, for the latter you will have to have a printer with the appropriate AirPrint capability on hand, while the first two options are very convenient and easy to use in everyday life.

If you use the same list for a long time, for example "Buy home", then the list of crossed out positions becomes very, very impressive. For quick cleaning in the lower left corner there is basket. By clicking on it, all crossed out products will disappear into oblivion.

Another convenience String bags– this is an indicator on the application icon. If there are uncompleted tasks or unpurchased items in the lists, then a red label with the exact number of forgotten items will light up on the icon. A kind of analogue of a cross on the hand: looked - remembered.

After using the application for a long time, I managed to get used to its bright interface and no longer notice any shortcomings. The only thing I would like to see is synchronization between devices and the ability to add the estimated price of a product or service.

I usually write about photography, music, and communication apps, but today we'll talk about shopping trips. And, to be more precise, about shopping lists.

I’ll say right away that until recently, this topic was alien to me. Usually, when “raiding” stores of various types, I did without such lists, because I remembered the “needs” that were missing from the household, and bought everything else based on my immediate needs, desires or ideas. By and large, I decided what to buy right in the store. This purchasing option didn’t bother me in the slightest, since I know well what a budget is and won’t buy anything unnecessary. And I usually don’t buy much at a time, preferring to go to the store every day and buy just enough for one time. This is a long-term habit of pseudo-fresh product.

But it so happened that for the last 2 months, I was severely limited in movement, so I remembered a long-forgotten method of shopping - ordering through online stores. But here, whatever one may say, buying little by little and often is inconvenient and not profitable. That's when the shopping lists, planning for the future and e.t.c., e.t.c., e.t.c, came to me...

As a result, after 5-6 weeks of training, I developed a certain habit. This is probably why, while looking through the sales on AppZapp, my eyes settled on Shopping To-Do Pro.

What I noticed interesting about it:

  1. It is simple and convenient to create shopping lists that are clearly displayed on the program desktop, showing the first items on the list.
  2. Possibility of calculating the planned purchase. You can set the cost of an item per piece/kg, including an incomplete unit (0.5 kg or something similar), immediately receiving the cost of a specific purchase, as well as the total amount of the entire list. For a paper worm like me, accustomed to a planned economy, this is a huge plus of the application. And I’ll also note that the list has not only a total, but also a subtotal.
  3. When one of the items is purchased, we remove it from the list by checking the box. At the same time, a pencil flies out with a cute animation and crosses out the position. And the subtotal becomes less by the purchase amount. Again, a plus for clarity from lovers of the language of numbers.
  4. Availability of reminder function. Something also from the category of planning. You can set the exact day + time, and the application will remind you of itself with a pop-up window and sound. For me, this function is practically useless, but having reminders is never superfluous.
  5. Well, the last plus is simply great design. Successful styling of shabby notebook, nice animation. All together causes (for me) a subconscious pleasure from working with this application.

But there is also something that upsets me:

  1. Lack of any synchronization. This is very bad. So I can't put the application on two (or more) different devices and coordinate your purchases with someone close to you or friends. There is not even a basic option to send the list by email. A kind of application in itself, for a very lonely person or misanthrope. Although a closed user would probably like to be able to synchronize at least with his computer.
  2. There are absolutely no settings. Looking into the setting you will find only a small window for entering tax. In our penates the thing is useless.

That's all. On this moment The application is distributed free of charge, but during normal periods its price is only $0.99.

However, having decided to look for something alternative to Shopping To-Do Pro, I went through several paid and free applications and I liked ShopShop – Shopping List

What's good about it:

  1. Unlike Shopping To-Do, in ShopShop we have good synchronization capabilities: via dropbox, as well as sending the list by email and sms. Plus, the list can be sent to a printer. And what’s convenient: if some items have already been “crossed off the list”, in the sent message there will be “checkmarks” opposite them.
  2. Purchased items are crossed out with a finger movement or tap. After which they can be cleared from the list by shaking the iPhone (set in the settings)
  3. Decent settings for such an application (again in reproach to Shopping To-Do), where you can set auto-locking, enable/disable synchronization, font size, number of saved entries and other minor needs.
  4. Shopping lists are implemented as working lists iPhone tables, flipped through in the traditional way for the device. Each list can be given a personal name and color.
  5. Availability of Russian version

Well, now a little about the disadvantages of the application:

  1. There is no possibility to enter a price for a position, and therefore there is no amount. So the list is simply regular list, without calculation.
  2. The design is office, flat, boring. Although everything is organized clearly, simply and conveniently, I find it somehow sad to use it.

I have compared two shopping list apps. In fact, there are dozens of such applications. Some (such as “Buy a loaf” and “Go shopping”) have been written and talked about a lot. We all (including me) still don’t know about some. But even judging by these two, we see a variety of functionality and appearance, a choice for every taste. At the same time, there is imperfection in both.

Well, as always, the choice is yours.

Shopping lists are a fairly popular category of iPhone applications; there are dozens, if not hundreds, of them in the AppStore, and choosing the one among them that meets all your requirements is very, very difficult. Today we will talk about one of these applications, which, in my opinion, is one of the best among its kind.

The application is called ShopShop, it is free, which is surprising given its functionality. It’s rare to see such altruism from developers; usually it’s quite the opposite – a weak application is sold for quite a significant amount of money. So let’s consider ourselves lucky with ShopShop and take a closer look at the application.

So, we are dealing with a shopping list. More precisely, with lists, because you can create as many such lists in the application as you like, one, for example, for a supermarket, another for a pharmacy, a third for a building materials store, etc. You can move between lists by flipping through the screens.

Working with a list
Everything is quite simple here. To add a new item to the list, click the “plus” in the upper left corner, a text entry field opens, and on the left there is a window for entering the quantity (pieces, kilograms, etc.). Enter the name and quantities, click the “Done” button at the bottom - that’s all, the position has been added to the list. After entering the name of the position, it remains in the application database, and in the future you will only need to type the first two or three letters, and you will see all previously entered positions that begin with these letters.

After adding all the items to the list, click the button with the name of our list (by default it says “Shopping List”) and see the list we have compiled. Positions in it can be moved relative to each other by pressing and holding your finger on the icon opposite the name. The line is highlighted and you can move it.

The created list can be sent to someone by mail; if the recipient has the same application installed, he can open the finished list directly from the received letter directly in ShopShop. Very convenient feature, for example, a wife can send such a list to her husband, or you can come up with a lot of other options for using this “trick”. You can also send the list via SMS, but in this case you will not be able to open the received message in ShopShop.

In the store, when you open the application and buy products, you simply click on the lines with the names in the list, and they are crossed out. You can remove purchased products from the list by selecting the appropriate item in the menu, or simply by shaking the phone (this option is set in the settings). Very convenient, especially if you have made a very long list.

Creating new lists
To create a new list, click on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen and select “Add” from the menu that appears. new list" Next, enter its name, select the background color and click OK. That's it, the list has been created. As we already said, to move between lists you just need to flick through the application screens.

Settings
In the settings, you can choose the method of removing purchased products from the list (shake the phone, press a button with a checkmark, or delete using the menu), the sorting method (alphabetically, by status, manually), set the number of names that the application remembers, and other functions (see. screenshots). I would like to dwell on only one point – synchronization. If you have a Dropbox account, you can use it to synchronize lists between different devices, for example, iPhone and iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and so on.

General conclusions
The application is very easy to use, it is not overloaded with functions and capabilities, is logical to use and looks good. We sincerely recommend trying it, especially since you don’t need to pay money for it.
