Login tp link. Problems accessing router settings: how to access the settings of a TP-Link router. The most common default router IP addresses and passwords

TPLINKLOGIN.NET- This standard address, where the entrance to the TP-LINK router is located. To enter the control panel settings, use the login and password “admin-admin”. Login to your personal account TP-Link router You can also use its IP - 192.168.0.1 or in some models 192.168.1.1. But what if you open http://tplinklogin.net, an error occurs - how to solve it? Let's figure out together how to log into the TP-LINK router.

tplinklogin.net - login to the personal account of the TP-Link router at 192.168.0.1

This instruction connection is universal and suitable for setting up any TP-Link routers - TL-WR740N, TL-WR840N, TL-WR841N, etc.

Friends!
Read this important information- today login to your TP-Link router personal account at " tplinklogin.net» is no longer available due to simple carelessness - the company forgot to pay for the domain, and it went into other hands. The router's web interface is now located either at the address " " or at the IP "192.168.0.1". Login and password for connection remain the same - admin-admin

Let's start, as they say, “from the stove,” and one of the most affordable routers TP-LINK TL-WR741N will help us with this today.

After this, most users open a browser and enter the address http://tplinklogin.net and in 50% of cases they receive an error that it is impossible to log in.

How to configure a computer to log into the TP-Link router using the TPLINKLOGIN.NET administrator address?

The whole point is in incorrectly set Windows settings connecting the PC network card to the router. Therefore, we go to the computer’s network connection settings using the following chain: Start - Control Panel - Network and Internet - Network and Sharing Center shared access- Change adapter settings.

Right-click on “Connect by local network" and open the section "Properties - Internet Protocol Version 4"

Here you need to check the “Automatic acquisition” checkboxes on the IP address and DNS servers - the router will give them to us automatically. Pay attention to the last point - if certain public servers are registered as DNS, for example or 4.4.4.4, then you will not be able to access the address “tplinklogin.net” or “tplinkmodem.net”. Another possible variant— write here, by default it looks like “192.168.0.1”

If you need, then the path to selecting a network adapter is slightly different - you need to right-click on “Start”, select “ Network connections" and then open the "Adapter settings settings" section.

Save the parameters with the “OK” button.

TP-Link login error - 192.168.o.1/192.168.0.l/192.168.1.1

  • Another very popular mistake lies in the user’s carelessness, when instead of the purely digital value “192.168.O.1”, the letter “o” is entered into the address bar instead of “zero”. Of course, you won’t be able to access the control panel using an incorrect address.
  • The same applies when the letter “L” is written at the end instead of the number “1”
  • Finally, it is possible that the IP was simply chosen incorrectly - instead of 192.168.0.1 they indicate 192.168.1.1 and vice versa

How to log into the personal account of a TP-Link TPLINKLOGIN.NET router via admin-admin?

We get to the admin panel - menu items for configuration TP-LINK router a lot, but the easiest way is to start with “ Quick settings».

First you need to select the type of your Internet connection. Rely on auto mode It’s not worth it - it’s better to find a paper contract for the provision of Internet access services and see there all the data necessary for connection. My Internet works in PPPoE mode - that’s what I’ll choose.

Next, set the TP-Link settings for wireless connections. At the initial stage, it is enough to come up with a name for your WiFi networks(SSID) and 8 character password. Select “WPA2-Personal” as the encryption type. The rest can be left as default.

In the last step, reboot the router.

These steps are enough to log into your TP-Link router’s personal account via the web interface at tplinklogin.net or 192.168.0.1 and configure it to work with the Internet. By the way, you can also use mobile app- a separate article is devoted to this. Start using it, and you can master the rest of the settings by reading other articles on our blog.
Good luck!

Since there is already a description of the steps to enter the settings of most common routers, even general instructions for logging into the control panel, it makes sense not to ignore it by writing separate instructions for high-quality and popular TP-Link devices.

A significant advantage of devices from this company is that the process of gaining access to the control panel is no more difficult than on other routers, and is almost identical for any model of routers from this company (TL-WR841N, TL-WR741N, TL-WR940N, etc. .).

You shouldn’t be surprised that after purchasing a router, to install it yourself, you need to log into the settings panel. Thanks to the article from this site, it is unlikely that you will encounter difficulties in setting up routers. After all, despite using the services of a wizard during the initial setup, when you start using the router, you will probably need to make changes to some of them: changing the Wi-Fi password, restoring a forgotten password I, firmware update. Constantly contacting a specialist will not add convenience, and it will not save the family budget. After all, you can handle everything yourself, and if you have any difficulties, turn to the site for help.

Getting access to the TP-Link settings panel

To enter the settings you need to do the following:

  • Let's connect to Wi-Fi router. This can be done either through Wi-Fi network, or using a network cable. Although it is possible to enter the settings system both through a smartphone and a tablet, it is still recommended to use a laptop or PC.
  • Using any web browser, depending on the type of router, go to one of the addresses:, or. You can see it on the bottom of the device.
  • When prompted for a login and password, indicate “ admin» or your own information, if you managed to change it.
  • You have entered the settings panel.

Detailed description of connecting to the device with illustrations

We use Wi-Fi, a diagram of how to connect to it can be found here, or a cable to connect to the router. Since your device has barely been purchased, the name wireless network should be typical. Something like "TP-LINK_0919".

Also for connecting to a router (in the yellow LAN slot) and to a laptop or PC, in network adapter, you can use the cable included with the router, as shown in the photo below:

Then you need to launch the web browser of your choice on your PC. TP-Link has more than one IP option for logging into the settings system; in the case of TP-LINK, to log into the control panel you need to write admin | admin (standardly in older models, addresses are used 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) . You can find it on a tag glued to the bottom of the wall of the device. This label displays information about the IP, template password and login. Knowing this information will be beneficial in the future.

Then we jump to the address entered in the web search engine. In the window that opens, fill in the standard login and password - “ admin". If the template data has been changed, you must enter the current ones. If you need to use a standardized password and username, for example, you can't remember them, you may need to reset your router.

TP-Link is one of the most famous manufacturers of routers, and the products of this company are distinguished by quality, reliability and fairly affordable prices. But after purchasing one of these devices, users often cannot configure it themselves. Moreover, some of them don’t even know how to log into the TP-LINK router and get to its main menu.

In fact, setting up a router is not such a difficult task, and after completing it once, you yourself will understand how simple it is. This article will help you understand everything and avoid making one of the common mistakes.

Preparation

Before you start connecting your TP-Link router, you need to do a little preparation. It consists in determining network parameters provider and write them down (or remember).

The first thing you should understand is the type of Internet connection. If you use a login and password to connect, then the connection is carried out via the PPPoE protocol and you can immediately connect a TP-Link router, the configuration of which will be discussed below.

If the login and password are not used for the connection, you must do the following:

  1. Open "Control Panel" and go to the "Network Management" tab.
  2. Now pay attention to sidebar(left). Here you need to select the line “Change adapter settings”.
  3. Here is a list of connections (usually there is only one). Right-click on the one that is active in this moment, and select Properties.

All you have to do is select “TCP/IPv4 Protocol” and click “Properties”.

Determining the connection type

The window that opens will allow you to determine the type of connection, of which (not counting PPPoE) there are two types:

  • If you have selected and filled in the “Use IP address” line, then your connection type is called “Static IP”. In this case, you need to rewrite all the settings, and then select the “Obtain IP address” option and click “OK”.
  • If the “Obtain IP address” line is active immediately, it means you have a “Dynamic IP” connection. This means you don't need to rewrite anything and you can start connecting your TP-Link router.

In any case, you can now close all unnecessary windows and prepare for further actions.

Connecting a router

Now it's time to take the device out of the box and connect it to your computer. For this:

  1. Connect the power supply to the device.
  2. Connect the Internet cable to the blue port.
  3. Connect the device to the computer using a network cable. Any of the yellow ports will do this.

  1. Launch your browser. It's best if it's Internet Explorer or Edge (for Windows 10).
  2. Enter the TP-Link router address. Usually this is a combination of numbers “192.168.1.1”, but sometimes there are other options (they are written on the bottom panel of the device).
  3. A window will appear in which you must enter the username and password of the TP-Link router. By default, you need to enter the word admin in both of these lines.
  4. In the menu (on the left), select the Quick Setup line.

After completing the steps above, you will find yourself in the main settings menu. Here you need to indicate the connection type that you defined before logging into the TP-Link router.

Setting up for PPPoE

If your connection is via the PPPoE protocol, you need to select it in the main menu, click “Next” and enter the settings:

  • User Name - login with the provider.
  • Password - password for connecting to the Internet.
  • Confirm Password - password again.

Now click Next and enter:

  • In the SSID field - the name of the access point (your choice).
  • PSK Password - create and enter a password.
  • Wireless Security - specify WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.

After that, all you have to do is click Next and reboot the router (Reboot).

Setting up for static IP

Select the Static IP line in the main menu if your connection is made using this protocol. You see a window with several lines that you need to fill in manually. These are the same parameters that you copied from the network Windows settings, before logging into the TP-Link router.

Once you have completed all the lines, check them carefully again, and then click Next. In the next window you need to enter the name of the access point (of your choice), password (come up with it yourself), click Next and reboot the router.

Setting up for dynamic IP

If you have a dynamic IP and are using a TP-Link router, the setup will be very simple. In the menu you need to select Dynamic IP, click Next and enter the name of the access point, as well as the password for it.

After this, all you have to do is click Next and then Finish. In this case, a reboot is not required.

Setting up using a special disk

To facilitate the process of setting up a TP-Link router, a special disk can be used. It is not included with all device models, but if you have it, you can simply insert it into the CD-Rom and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup procedure in a few clicks.

Possible problems

Sometimes it happens that the provider blocks the connection by MAC address. In this case you need to do the following:

  1. Go to your router settings.
  2. Go to the Network section, and then select the MAC Clone sub-item.
  3. Here you need to click Clone MAC Address and then save the changes (Save).

By the way, it is best, before logging into a TP-Link router, to contact your provider’s support service and clarify this issue with them.

Password reset

If you don't remember the password to enter your device settings, you can reset it. To do this, press the Reset button, which you will find on the back panel, and hold it for a few seconds. This will reset all settings to factory settings and you will be able to enter the settings using the standard password (admin).

In some cases, the password initially differs from the standard one. If so, you can find it on the bottom panel of the router. The login is usually written there, as well as other data necessary to enter the device settings.

6.Software download.

Update software router is not a mandatory procedure for setting it up, but it is advisable to perform this procedure, because otherwise, correct operation is not guaranteed. Updating the software can solve the problems of previous software versions and improve the current performance of the device.

Before you start updating, you need to determine the hardware version (revision) of the router and download the software from the manufacturer’s website. To do this, look at bottom part router body, where we look for the line H/W Ver.:

Go to https://www.tp-link.com/ru/download-center.html. and select the model of your router. In the page that opens, select the hardware version of the router (Ver.) in accordance with the revision of your router.

If for this model there is current version software, the item will appear "Firmware", in the section of which you can download the archive we are interested in.

In this example, the software file will be archived (zip). After extracting from the archive, we get a file with the extension bin.

7.Software update.

We log in to manage the router, in the window that opens, go to the section "System Tools", then click "Firmware Upgrade". In a new window using a copy "review" we find the file with the software that was previously downloaded, and then click "Upgrade". After updating the software, the router will automatically reboot.

Do not unplug the power cord during the update.

Not all owners of modern WiFi routers TP-Link knows that you can access the settings of their network device not only through the IP address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, but also through the hostname tplinklogin.net, simply by entering it in the address bar of your web browser, as is the case with regular sites. On some models of TP-Link modems and routers, this address is even written on the sticker instead of IP, like on all others.

The main condition for operation is that the network card must receive IP addresses automatically or the router address must be registered as the preferred DNS server.

This is how it looks in Windows 8, Windows 10 and other versions of the operating system from Microsoft.

How it works? Very simple. TP-Link modems or routers do not have their own DNS server and simply transparently transmit requests to provider servers. Despite this, in operating system The router has a strict binding of the domain name tplinklogin.net to the internal IP, which “looks” towards the local network, that is, 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Accordingly, if it receives a request from a computer what IP is the hostname “tplinklogin.net”, it does not broadcast it further, but immediately issues the local address of the router.

If on network card A PC or laptop will have a different DNS server registered than 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, then it, of course, will not be able to give the correct answer and the result will be a “Page not found” error.

What to do if you can’t log in to tplinklogin.net?!

In this case, try logging into the TP-Link settings not by hostname but by IP address. That is, open a new browser page and enter the address http://192.168.1.1.

If it doesn’t work, your router model may have a default IP address of 192.168.0.1. Then try entering it in the address bar.

Separately, I would like to tell you about another hostname that is used on TP-Link network bridges and repeaters - this tplinkextender.net(Login for authorization is admin, password is admin). It may also be inaccessible and not open if there are problems with the network setup.

The solution to the problem is exactly the same as with “tplinklogin.net” - you must first try to log in via IP by entering it in the Chrome, Opera or Firefox web browser.
If this does not help, try to register addresses on the network card statically. Like this:

This doesn’t help either - then “seven troubles - one reset”. As a rule, after a hardware reset of the configuration, logging in via tplinklogin.net or tplinkextender.net to the TP-Link router returns again.
