In standby mode, press and hold the [ STOP ] button for about 4 seconds (until the status indicator starts flashing quickly), then release the button.

1 Flash the printer with original firmware

Download and unpack the archive with the original firmware (link to the archive with the original firmware at the bottom of the right column of this page). After this, put the printer into forced download mode. Wait automatic installation forced mode drivers. Then use your mouse to transfer the firmware file PH3260_V3.50.01.08.hd to usbprns2.exe. A black console window with running dots will appear and close after a few seconds. After this, the printer will begin to flash. Wait until the printer reboots. After rebooting the printer, proceed to installing the FIX firmware.

2. Flash the device with the first fix firmware file

In ready mode, use your mouse to transfer the first firmware file First_PH3260_V3.50.01.08.hd to usbprns2.exe

Wait for it to reboot. After the reboot, we proceed to the next stage of the firmware.

3. Flash the device with the second fix firmware file

Before this stage of the firmware, you need to put the printer into forced boot mode.

Use your mouse to transfer the second FIX firmware file FIX_NU_xxxxxxxxxx_PH3260_V3.50.01.08.hd to usbprns2.exe. A black window with running dots will appear and close after a few seconds. After this, the device will begin to flash. Wait until the printer or MFP reboots.

4 Seal the chip contacts on the cartridge or remove the chip

After the reboot, remove the chip and prevent the installation of other chips! The toner level will always show 100%.

Attention! For these MFP models, it is recommended to update the firmware from the ready mode.

Entering forced mode!

With the printer turned off, press and hold the [ STOP ] button. Press and hold the [POWER] button, after ~1-2 seconds, release both buttons. Upon successful entry into forced mode, the status indicator should light up orange (the other indicators will also light up).

After rebooting, the printer will already work without a chip on the cartridge.

To produce firmware for your device, the following initial data is required:

• model of the device (indicated on its body);
• serial number - (10 characters) - indicated in the Configuration Report;
• firmware version - indicated in the Configuration Report;
• CRUM chip toner cartridge- (11 characters), indicated in the Supplies Information report, in the Toner Information section. Not to be confused with CRUM Imaging Unit from the same report

This data can be obtained by printing two reports on your printer: Configuration Report and Supplies Information.

1. Printing reports

ATTENTION!!! The report can be printed on an unlocked printer!

To remove the lock, you need to replace the chip in the cartridge with an original working one.

To print the Configuration report:
Press and hold the [ WPS ] button for about 10 seconds (the status indicator will start flashing, then stay on, then start flashing again). Release the button.

To print the Supplies Information report:
Press and hold the [ WPS ] button for about 15 seconds (until the status indicator turns solid again). Release the button.

2. Preparation for firmware.

Connect the printer to computer USB cable and install the necessary drivers. The cable should be as short as possible.

Disconnect all unnecessary equipment from your computer.

Close all programs.

Connect the printer to the power supply and make sure the connection is secure.

Important!!! An interruption in power supply during firmware will result in device failure.

ATTENTION!!! Flash with a chip on the cartridge. The chip on the cartridge must be the one whose CRUM is specified in the firmware order. Different chip - different firmware.

3. Order firmware
